Completely In-House Development
One of the major strategies of Hartley involves keeping all product development completely in-house. Use of templates or contracting out is never done. If a challenge arises, a Hartley team member learns to overcome it or additions to the team are be made. Everything about Hartley products and services is under the complete control of the Hartley teams assigned to them, and because of that, flow more smoothly and with great consistency throughout.
Sticking to Goals
Delays are inevitable, but Hartley chooses to fight against them in unique ways. If software was scheduled to be live at a certain date, Hartley will find any way to adhere to this. A date set is considered of highest responsibility. If it requires a structure change to a system that can be seamlessly updated while live until all goals are met, then that becomes the focus. If it requires adding additional members to the team in order to accomplish the goals, then the search begins. If that requires additional work hours from the team or teams, then those hours are put in.
Teams of the 'Right' People
Hartley doesn't look for a certain degree or a certain school. The focus is to find what we consider the "right" people for the job. Some of the worlds most creative people have spent no time in the college classroom, and what makes someone qualified is up to the team leader's discretion. An educated and experienced applicant with a rigid '9 to 5' attitude and little or no sense of humor would never beat out an individual with less formal education that is willing to learn and grow with an open mind.

Corporation Summary
History:
As a corporate entity,
Hartley is relatively new. As the books will show, Hartley Corporation
became a Corporation on January 25th, 2005. The group behind Hartley
has, however, been together for nearly five years.
In its early days, Web Design and Customized Software were the primary
focus. Game testing (and playing) lead to more intensive Web Development.
Designs became interactive applications.
The group's talents have been tapped for work in software engineering,
security consultation, and web development over those years. Now, the
primary focus is to provide for the public with its own creations.
Though, Hartley remains available for website design / web application
development, the primary goals involve Hartley's Parallel Game Studios and
the future developments which will stem from that.
More About Us:
You may ask, why aren't you DailyWheel, Inc.? The answer is not that
the name was already taken. We do many projects involving the web, and
though many fall under the DailyWheel.com header, many do not. It would
not make sense to be DailyWheel Inc. and work with website development.
Hartley (a shared name between two of its founders), became the entity
which managed the funding and business details.
Goals For the Future:
Oh, if those weren't so large, we would surely list them all. We all
look to the stars, both poetically and literally. To start with the
nearing future, we do have another three games in the works.
For more information on those upcoming
titles, head to PGS.
Even more distant still? There's a great deal of research we'd like
done. With the resources of a large fan base, solid funding and foundation
of corporate success, and accepting that we have no reputation we worry
about losing, the possibilities are nearly endless. We'd like to spark
some scientific competition, in the vein of the X-Prize. We also have
an electronic library idea that's been kicked around and sketched about
for about a year now, that we'd love to see come to life.
