Welcome to Hartley
'Letter from the CEO'
As you may have read before, Hartley Corporation is a game, software, and tech development company focused on creating intense simulations, networks, and interactivity for a world still starting to understand the potential meaning of technology-based globalization.
What that all means is a focus on tomorrow and the day after. It means that, to us, game development is where so much cutting edge technology happens. To us, who better to undertake city-wide transportation management networks and autopilot systems than a company with experience in massive scale simulations? As time goes forward, entertainment and functionality begin to merge. What once was a game becomes standard, and those with the greatest foresight and experience, lead us on to greater futures.
Many companies are founded with a similar overtone to our own. We have no reputation, so there is none to lose. Soon after the first dollar rolls in, however, we see far too many lose that ability to dare. We haven't changed yet, and we expect not to. Do you want to talk flying car? Sure, why not. We aren't adverse to it. We'd make the software that runs it, or even be the ones to build it straight out.
Enough about our feelings and direction, let's talk what we do. As an organization, we develop web sites and applications, we build custom software - from time to time, and we have recently begun to create our own software in the form of video games. This is now our primary focus.
Our organization likes to stay as in control of the processes as possible. Whether it is web design for a client or our next video game, if we do not have the knowledge in our organization, someone learns it or we acquire another member to the team. We make it our policy to build what we need from scratch. We don't use template software. We don't contract out graphics design. If we need something, a team member builds it. Ultimately, one of our most powerful ideals is integration. Most everything we create is so tied in, so connectable with another project or network, that we really have to create it from scratch. From what I can see each day, that's something everyone here, our users and our creators, rather enjoy.
So, I'm supposed to focus a bit on the goals, vision, and personality of Hartley.
Okay, let's start with goals.
- When anyone on this planet wants a video game with the best balance between action, story, and incredible strategy and simulation, Hartley enters the conversation.
- When the City of ____ wishes to contract out with an organization to make a virtual duplicate of the city which manages all navigation and safety systems, they know they would be fools if they chose anyone but Hartley.
- When a young thinker decides he or she wants to make a difference in the world, they apply here to be part of Hartley's team.
Our visions?
We see entertainment and standard life as one. We see entering a virtual world for fun and as part of daily standard activity. Banking and shopping online have already been made a standard in the household. Completely immersing yourself, we see as standard soon, as well. We also see the science fiction of today in the near future. We see a need to expand beyond this Earth, even. And we see a need for organizations that are willing to power through the criticism and shoot for goals hardly imaginable.
Okay, and now our personality.
What do you think? We're a little crazy. We're young (and at least always will be at heart). We're learned and open to bettering ourselves. We're close and find it important to listen to one another and those around us. We're fast-paced and intense. We know how to relax, and we know how to work for 20 hours a day.
On that note, let me say a warm welcome to our site and our company - now I've got to head off and get some more work done.
Regards,

Robert
Bennett
